In this Workshop Public Prosecutors dealing with POCSO cases may also be included as participants alongwith Judicial Officers.

    As Directorate of Public Prosecution is already conducting training programmes regulalry for the Prosecution Officers, the Academy may spare its faculties for imparting training on the subject, as and when requested.

State (NCT of Delhi).  While referring to the verdict passed by the Supreme Court in the case of Tara Singh v. State, 1951 SCC OnLine SC 49 wherein it has mentioned that in many cases scant attention is paid to the salutary provisions of Section 342 of CrPC, 1898. Despite lapse of more than seven decades, defaults are being observed in large number of cases. Direction has been given to the National and State Judicial Academies to sensitize  the Judicial Officers to take benefit of sub-section (5) of Section 313 CrPC while recording evidence.

Training Programmes for the Ministerial Staff of the District Courts

As per the mandate of NJAC, Ministerial Staff being an important part of justice dispensation system, they have to be imparted training from time to time. MPSJA is imparting training to Ministerial staff since 2013 at district headquarters.  In continuation to that, this year also the Academy proposes to impart short-term training/basic training of three days duration to the newly appointed ministerial staff of each District Court of the State to enhance their working skills.   These programmes may be organized in each district headquarters.
